Celebrating its commitment to fostering local talent, Richemont is proud to announce the graduation of the first cohort from its Mustaqbalkom Trainee Programme in the United Arab Emirates. Meaning “your future” مستقبلكم in Arabic, Mustaqbalkom paves a path for Emirati Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates to explore various career options within the Group. A ceremony was hosted to commemorate the seven Emirati graduates, the majority of whom have secured fulltime employment within the Group, a testament to the programme's success in developing the next generation of luxury industry leaders.
“We take great pleasure in witnessing the remarkable progress and professional growth of our Mustaqbalkom Trainees. Our first cohort has been exceptional, showcasing passion, drive, and seamless integration into the corporate world. Embracing diversity and fostering collaboration have been integral to this journey, and we will continue our duty to empower and educate the local youth, nurturing their talents for success in the luxury environment of tomorrow.”
Launched in May 2022, the Richemont Mustaqbalkom Trainee Programme in the United Arab Emirates offers Emirati Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates a tailored curriculum to help accelerate their careers in the luxury industry. After a rigorous recruitment process involving interviews, screening tests, and interactive assessment days, trainees are shortlisted and then selected.
What follows is a unique learning experience, divided into three distinct eight-month rotations that cover various corporate functions such as Finance, HR, Marketing, Supply Chain, Retail and Business Development. Here, the graduates actively participate in challenging training projects and collaborate with experienced colleagues from different Richemont Maisons and functions. Maximising their growth potential, they have the opportunity to explore a range of roles, teams and responsibilities within each exclusive rotation. Upon successful completion of the two-year programme, all trainees receive a programme diploma; the most deserving trainees are also given the opportunity to join the Group full time.
"We embarked on the journey of Emiritisation less than two years ago with the ambition of supporting and nurturing our local talent and are delighted with this first successful outcome. We are absolutely thrilled to witness the remarkable growth and success of the exceptional young talents who have thrived in our programme, leaving a lasting impression on our organisation."
The programme will continue to invest in Emirati graduates and provide opportunities to learn, develop potential, and accelerate career progression. The second cohort of seven graduates is expected to graduate in September 2024.
