Founded by David Territo and Liv Siv-Ing, Maison Territo unveils its first immersive showroom, spanning over 11,000 square feet, in the heart of Royalmount—Montreal’s newest hub of refinement. Designed by blanchette archi.design, this avant-garde space is revolutionizing the world of luxury furniture by combining a contemporary approach with exceptional pieces, curated objects, and a scenography inspired by the art of living and Italian haute couture.
Since 1972, the Territo family has shaped Montreal’s high-end furniture landscape. It all started with Calogero Territo, a master cabinetmaker who perfected his craft before turning to the importation of exclusive creations. Today, his son, David Territo, carries forward this heritage with a renewed vision—not just selling furniture, but offering an experience where each piece becomes a timeless work of art. Alongside Liv Siv-Ing, who comes from the world of fashion, he has brought Maison Territo to life—a destination where design is an expression, and where elegance meets audacity.
"Maison Territo is a tribute to Italian design and exceptional craftsmanship. We don’t follow trends—we create them." — David Territo, Co-founder of Maison Territo The Fendi Casa collections, for instance, perfectly embody the balance between tradition and modernity that Maison Territo champions. Crafted from exceptional materials, their refined finishes and Fendi’s distinctive identity shine through in every piece. These are heritage furniture pieces, designed to stand the test of time and be cherished for generations.
Thanks to the Territo family’s expertise, David and Liv Siv-Ing successfully convinced four prestigious Italian brands—Fendi Casa, Versace Home, Dolce & Gabbana Casa, and Bentley Home—to establish themselves in Montreal for the very first time. Their simultaneous arrival in the city marks a milestone, positioning Montreal on the global design and luxury map. These four icons of refinement and elegance do not follow trends; they set them—producing limited-edition pieces often destined for niche markets, making them truly rare and valuable. Their collections translate their fashion house’s DNA into the world of furniture design, incorporating textures, patterns, and forms that reflect the signature codes of haute couture. "These brands are particularly selective when it comes to choosing their partners. We built a relationship of trust with them, which is why they chose us to represent their collections—because we share their vision and commitment to excellence," explains David Territo. "Their furniture is designed like jewellery—haute couture pieces made from noble materials with impeccable finishes. They embody artisanal craftsmanship, giving each piece its uniqueness."
More than just a retail space, Maison Territo is designed for design enthusiasts and professionals seeking a personalized service and an experience that goes beyond a simple purchase. The space invites visitors to explore and discover—each collection offers an immersive journey into the Italian art of living, where scenography and elegance intersect. The founders envisioned a space where design, fashion, and exceptional craftsmanship come together—a place where visitors can take the time to appreciate the artistry behind each product, understand the inspiration behind the collections, and engage in conversations about materials and finishes.
"Choosing Royalmount was an obvious decision," says Liv Siv-Ing. "This new urban hub is redefining luxury retail in Montreal by attracting prestigious home brands and offering an unparalleled sophisticated setting. With Maison Territo, we wanted to create a space for exchange and inspiration, where pieces are showcased like works of art—not confined behind glass, but displayed in a way that invites interaction."
Designed by blanchette archi.design, the layout of Maison Territo seamlessly integrates the four renowned brands, creating a refined and sophisticated experience. Upon entering, the Fendi section sets the tone with lime-plastered walls, adding subtle texture, and champagne-toned metals, exuding elegance and finesse. Further inside, Bentley imposes its timeless style with grooved stone walls, mahogany wood, and floating leather-clad shelves, reminiscent of its luxury car interiors. Versace’s section stands out with opulent marble finishes, while Dolce & Gabbana offers a dramatic and spectacular atmosphere, where bold animal prints take centre stage.
The various brand environments are seamlessly arranged through Murano glass partitions and pivoting perforated metal dividers, allowing the space to be redefined with a simple rotation. A polished concrete floor unifies the overall aesthetic, while meticulously designed lighting enhances textures and creates dynamic atmospheres tailored to each brand’s essence. "Our meetings with the brand teams in Milan were crucial to this project," explains Patrick Blanchette, architect and president of blanchette archi.design. "They allowed us to fully grasp the essence of each brand and integrate their individuality into a cohesive whole. This dialogue with the creators was essential in ensuring that every element translates the identity of these iconic houses while offering visitors a harmonious and captivating experience."
