An online blockbuster auction of iconic movie vehicles organised by Bonhams|Cars concluded today, 28 November 2025, achieving a total of €2.4 million with a 100% sell-through rate. The sale featured 50 vehicles and motorcycles from film and television, along with 19 pieces of automobilia, all offered without reserve. Highlights included original screen-used vehicles from Fast & Furious, Taxi, Jurassic Park, Drive, Men in Black, Back to the Future, Robocop, Ghostbusters and The Dukes of Hazzard. The auction also included high-quality replicas from franchises such as The A-Team, Herbie the Love Bug, Batman and James Bond, drawing strong international interest from collectors.

This collection came from the Movie Cars Central Museum, located 45 minutes from Paris and directed by Franck Galiègue.

Loïc Maschi, Specialist, Bonhams Collector Cars, said

“We were delighted to present this remarkable collection to car, motorcycle and pop culture enthusiasts around the world. The auction attracted strong global interest from bidders across multiple continents. With most of the vehicles representing authentic pieces of cinema and modern automotive history, and all lots offered without reserve, the sale truly became a blockbuster.”

Franck Galiègue added

“This museum has been an incredible adventure, but the time has come to move on to new projects. I spent many years building this collection, and I am delighted to see these cars now passing into the hands of passionate film lovers and collectors.”

Nine vehicles from Fast and Furious were offered, including one of the most famous modern cinema cars, the 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII, which Paul Walker drove on the roads of Miami in 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) sold for €291,200.

French cinema was also prominently represented in the collection with the iconic Peugeot 406 and 407 models made famous by the Taxi film franchise. These vehicles have become enduring symbols of French automotive culture, celebrated on the big screen and beyond.

Among the vehicles used on screen, a Gene Winfield Police Cruiser, circa 1989 seen in Back to the Future Part II, sold for €67,200, a 1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria that starred in Men in Black (1997) sold for €40,320 against an estimate of €17,000 to 34,000, and the now legendary 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 driven by Keanu Reeves in John Wick (2014) sold for €123,200.

Others were replicas of the most famous cars in film and television history, such as a 2001 Nissan Skyline R34 GTT, meticulously constructed as a near-perfect replica of the car driven by Paul Walker as Brian O'Conner in 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) sold for €112,000. Built by renowned Hollywood car builder Nate Truman in Los Angeles, a 1983 GMC Vandura represents one of the most faithful and accurate recreations of the original A-Team van ever completed sold for €53,760, above its estimate of €35,000-50,000 and a charming 1962 Volkswagen Beetle representing a faithful replica of the world-famous Love Bug — Herbie, the beloved star of Disney's classic film series sold for €35,840.
