HRS Real Estate AG - Building permit granted for Wankdorfcity 3

The 34,000 square metre Wankdorfcity 3 site is located in the north of Bern, between the motorway and the railway tracks. A new, dense, mixed-use and lively district with space for living, working and leisure will be created on the current commercial site over the next few years. After several years of development and planning, planning permission has now been granted for this major project. The new service and commercial building, into which the majority of existing tenants will move, is already under construction. As soon as this building is completed and occupied, construction work on the entire project will start in summer 2025. At the same time, the historic Shedhalle will be renovated to become the future heart of Wankdorfcity 3 and home to catering, culture and small businesses. The approximately 500 flats and more than 50,000 square metres of space for services, commerce, offices and public uses will be realised in stages by HRS as the realisation partner and will be ready for occupancy from 2027 until the end of 2029.
