Swatch embarks on an epic big mountain adventure - with Xavier De Le Rue

Swatch is thrilled to announce a new film project by French snowboarding legend and longtime Swatch Proteam athlete, Xavier De Le Rue. “Roamer”, a series that combines big mountain skiing with breathtaking cinematography, will delight outdoor enthusiasts around the world.
It represents an extraordinary adventure taking viewers deep into the heart of some of the most awe-inspiring and challenging mountain landscapes, where freerider Xavier pushes the limits of human endurance and what is possible on a snowboard.
“I love to be at home with my family, but when it comes to adventure, I love to roam”, says Xavier who is known for his “fast and furious style” and for seeking out the most inaccessible locations in which to practice his favorite sport.
In addition to the thrill of carving fresh lines, the beauty of remote wilderness, and the profound connection between adventurer and environment, viewers can expect a few surprises along the way, including a guest appearance from rising ski star, Xavier’s daughter and fellow Swatch Proteam athlete Mila. Former Boardercross World Cup medalist and current full-time filmographer/photographer Nathan Birrien captured all the scenic action throughout this epic journey.
With a bold yet calculated approach to big mountain riding and a passion for pushing boundaries, Xavier embodies the Swatch values of positive provocation and innovation. Swatch is proud to support him on this unique project and looks forward to helping him share the incredible adventure that is “Roamer” with the world.
“Roamer" Season 1, consists of four 5–9-minute episodes, filmed in three stunning regions of the north of Norway: the Lofoten, Senja and the Lyngenfjords. The series will air exclusively from January 23 on Xavier De Le Rue's official YouTube channel, where he shares his extensive knowledge of riding in various terrains and circumstances, while inspiring a sustainable approach to adventure and respect for nature.
XAVIER DE LE RUE BIOGRAPHY
Xavier De Le Rue started out in competition, winning the boardercross world championship in 2003 and 2007 and multiple X Games gold medals. For three years in succession (2008, 2009 and 2010) he was the snowboard freeride world champion, and was twice awarded 'best line' of the freeride world tour (for both snowboard and ski). Xavier has seamlessly transitioned from a world-class competition athlete to the star of breathtaking snowboarding movies.
NATHAN BIRRIEN BIOGRAPHY
Nathan followed in Xavier’s footsteps competing on the World Cup Boardercross circuit before his passion for filmmaking and photography took him away from competition. Now he is the ultimate one-man band, filmer, photographer, drone pilot, editor and avid adventurer.
