The hotel’s restaurant serves seasonal, regional and international dishes, accompanied by fine wines or the house-brewed Schnuckenbräu beer. A wide range of leisure activities, including cycling tours and professionally planned holiday programmes, complete the experience.

The latest overview of new tourist attractions, upcoming highlights and events in Niedersachsen is available for download in both German and English (subject to change).

A taste of Niedersachsen

Niedersachsen is home to numerous places where visitors can enjoy and experience authentic regional cuisine in a cosy atmosphere. Farm cafés are very popular, serving traditional treats such as homemade cakes. The Melkhus – affectionately known as ‘milk rest stops’ – offer fresh dairy products, including buttermilk, ice cream and quark, all made with locally sourced ingredients. Pumpkin farms showcase seasonal delights centred around this beloved vegetable.

Altes Land - Fruit blossoms and culinary delights

ocated along the Elbe river, just west of Hamburg, Altes Land is the largest contiguous fruit-growing region in Northern Europe. A true highlight in spring is the fruit blossom season, when more than 20 million fruit trees burst into bloom. From mid-August, the focus shifts to the apple harvest. Picturesque orchards offer guided tours and picnic experiences, while farm shops sell fresh produce like apples and cherries, along with delicious locally made treats. For anyone with a taste for fine spirits, a visit to the Nordik Edelbrennerei distillery is highly recommended. In addition to tastings, visitors can enjoy fascinating tours that offer insights into the craft of spirit production. The experience is perfectly complemented by a visit to the Hanseatic towns of Stade and Buxtehude, where charming historic town centres and maritime influences create a unique atmosphere.

Einbeck - Classic cars & historical breweries

The charming half-timbered town of Einbeck, in the south of Niedersachsen, beautifully combines tradition, cuisine and culture. Its picturesque Old Town, with well-preserved half-timbered houses, embodies a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages. One of its highlights is the PS Speicher, a fascinating six-storey museum housed in a former granary, which brings the history of mobility to life. Einbeck also has plenty to offer food and drink enthusiasts. The town is known for Einbeck mustard, which has been renowned for its quality for centuries, and, of course, its famous Einbeck (Bock) Beer, best enjoyed at the rustic Brodhaus, one of Niedersachsen’s oldest inns. Beer lovers can immerse themselves in the town’s brewing heritage with experiences such as the Beer barrel path or even earn a Beer Diploma – a fun, interactive way to explore Einbeck’s deep-rooted brewing tradition.
